NYSCAN - 100% inspection print

The basis for the E+L print inspection systems are the high-resolution array cameras of the newest generation. Due to the choice of colour or grey scale cameras each system can be designed to achieve top quality. Specific algorithms allow to detect even minor deviations from the reference image, which are displayed as “errors” on a “virtual roll”, the so-called RollMap, in accordance with the inspection sensitivity defined.

Thanks to the RollMap defects detected on the printed roll, their number, position, and degree of severity can be retraced. Apart from that, the recorded defects are memorized for subsequent assessment. The RollMap enables your Quality Assurance to analyse the production process without interruption. And the end user can be provided with a detailed report as well.

The new TubeLight illumination has been developed especially for inspection of highly reflective and embossed materials. Due to the homogenous illumination of the web, gold and silver foils, embossed materials, and even holograms can be displayed without interfering reflections or scattered light. As a result, smooth and reliable inspection of the print pattern is possible.
