Each web guiding action requires the acquisition of the lateral position of the running web.

Infrared edge sensor 50

The digital infrared edge sensor with a CCD line chip detects very precisely the position of web edges of homogeneous, opaque webs such as paper, nonwovens, rubber, tire cord, wovens and knits. Transmitter and receiver are located in the same housing, there is no mechanical connection between sensor and reflector.
