Control loop
Each control automation is based on a simple control loop. Even complicated tasks may be reduced to such a control loop.
Tool position
Starting point is the actual tool position.
Sensors
A sensor detects the actual web position without physical contact. Depending on the task to be performed and on the type of material to be treated either an infrared, an ultrasonic of a line sensor will be used.
Position controller
The controller compares the actual value of the tool with the predefined target value and sends an appropriate correction signal to the actuator.
Actuators
The actuator corrects the position of the tool. Depending on the application the type of actuator used is either a positioning support or a drive unit.
