All function modules of the Digital-Control-Systems DCS feature a CAN bus interface through which they are networkable with each other.

A controller group may contain up to 16 parties such as measuring amplifiers, controllers, interfaces or command stations.

Eight controller groups may be implemented in a common CAN networt up to a length of 160 m.
